The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:
     
     The spokesperson for Tuen Mun Hospital (TMH) today (December 20) announced that a patient confirmed with COVID-19 passed away.

     An 84-year-old female patient (case number: 6745) was admitted to Pok Oi Hospital on December 3 due to fever. She was tested positive to COVID-19 and transferred to an isolation ward of TMH on December 4. Her condition continued to deteriorate and she eventually succumbed at 8.59pm tonight.

     The hospital was saddened about the passing away of the patient and would offer necessary assistance to her family.

     Including the above patient, 126 COVID-19 confirmed patients have passed away in public hospitals so far.
