North District Hospital announces a COVID-19 patient passed away

The spokesperson for North District Hospital (NDH) today (December 17) announced that an 80-year-old male patient confirmed with COVID-19 infection (case no. 5725) passed away last night.
The patient with chronic diseases was admitted to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital on November 23 due to fever. His condition continued to deteriorate, and he was then transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of NDH on December 3. The patient eventually succumbed at 10.04pm yesterday (December 16).
The Hospital was saddened about the passing away of the patient and would offer necessary assistance to his family members.
Including the above case, 121 COVID-19 patients have passed away in public hospitals so far.
