The security guard normally works on the night shift and is responsible for patrolling the public area of Luen Yuet House and Luen Yat House. He last performed duties on December 4. The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) notified him yesterday that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

The security guard has no recent travel history. He has been wearing a face mask and has observed relevant disease prevention measures at work. When performing duties, he has been undergoing temperature checks and his body temperature was normal.

The security guard is also a tenant residing at Luen Yat House of the estate.

The common areas of Luen Yuet and Luen Yat Houses, as well as the estate management office of Kwai Luen Estate, have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in accordance with the guidelines of the CHP.

The Housing Department will continue to keep close liaison with the CHP and co-operate with its quarantine work.
