Tenders invited for Development of Anderson Road Quarry Site - Remaining Pedestrian Connectivity Facilities Works

The works are scheduled to commence in the first half of 2021 and will take about 36 months to complete. The works mainly comprise:
* construction of a two-way escalator link about 50 metres long between Sau Mau Ping Road and the existing footbridge to Po Tat Estate;
* construction of a two-way escalator link about 55m long between Sau Mau Ping South Estate and the existing footbridge to Sau Mau Ping Road;
* construction of a footbridge about 30m long with a lift tower and staircase between Hiu Kwong Street and the podium of Sau Ming House, Sau Mau Ping Estate;
* construction of a footbridge about 55m long with a lift tower and staircase between Sau Mau Ping Road and the podium of Po Tat Estate;
* implementation of ancillary works including associated civil, geotechnical, structural, electrical and mechanical engineering and landscaping works; and
* environmental mitigation measures and an environmental monitoring and audit programme for the above-mentioned works.
The CEDD has appointed AECOM Asia Company Limited to design and supervise the works. Interested contractors may obtain the forms of tender and further particulars from the company at 12/F, Tower 2, Grand Central Plaza, 138 Sha Tin Rural Committee Road, Sha Tin.
The invitation to tender was gazetted today. The closing time for the tender is noon on January 8, 2021.
