The Labour Department (LD) will hold a public talk entitled "Manual handling operations and prevention of back injuries" on December 2 (Wednesday). Given by the LD's occupational health nurse and occupational hygienist, it will provide a brief account of the structure and functions of the back, causes and preventive measures of back injuries, and proper manual handling operations. A demonstration and workplace practice exercise will be included. The talk will be given at 3pm in the Lecture Theatre, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay.
            
     The talk will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free and participants must be pre-registered. For enquiries or registration, please call 2852 4040. Appropriate infection control measures taking into account the latest epidemic situation will be adopted at the venue.
