Murder and suicide in Cheung Sha Wan

At 8.14am, Police received a report from a security guard that a suspected gas leak was detected in a unit in Lotus House, So Uk Estate.
Police officers sped to the scene. The 32-year-old woman, her 10-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter were found lying on the floor inside the unit. The trio were rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital and Caritas Medical Centre in unconscious state for medical treatment and were later certified dead at 9.50am, 9.39am and 9.40am respectively.
Initial investigation revealed that the gas pipe inside the unit was cut.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the causes of their deaths.
Active investigation by the District Crime Squad of Sham Shui Po District is underway.
