A spokesman for the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) said today (November 6) that the application period for the Catering Business Subsidy Scheme under the third round of the Anti-epidemic Fund will end at 5pm on November 12 (Thursday). Eligible licence holders of general restaurants, light refreshment restaurants, marine restaurants and factory canteens in operation wishing to apply for the subsidy should submit their applications before the deadline.

     The Scheme opened for application on October 13. As of yesterday (November 5), about 13 000 applications had been received and over $300 million in subsidies had been disbursed. The FEHD will process the applications as soon as possible so as to disburse the subsidy to eligible licence holders promptly.

     The application form and guidelines can be downloaded from the FEHD website (www.fehd.gov.hk) or obtained from District Environmental Hygiene Offices of the department. For details of the Scheme, please visit the FEHD's website.
