Suspension of all airmail postal services to India

Hongkong Post today (October 30) announced that all airmail postal services (including Speedpost service) to India will be suspended from November 1 owing to substantial reduction in flight frequencies by airlines, which has resulted in a nearly complete inability to provide any air traffic capacity to cope with the posting volume. Members of the public may consider using surface mail for posting items to India. It is estimated that the journey time for posting through surface mail to India would take about seventeen days.
