Suspension of services of Transport Department

     ​The Transport Department today (October 13) announced that the public services under the department, i.e. the Licensing Offices at Admiralty, Cheung Sha Wan, Kwun Tong and Sha Tin, the Public Vehicles Unit, the Cross Boundary Unit, the Vehicle Examination Centres, the Driving Test Appointment Office, the Driving Test Centres and Written Test Centre, will be suspended as the No.8 gale or storm signal is now in force. 

     Candidates scheduled for driving test (including road test and written test) this morning will be individually informed of the alternative arrangements. If No.8 gale or storm signal is still in force at 11.30am, all driving tests today will be cancelled. Candidates will be individually informed of the alternative arrangements.

     Applicants who have made an appointment for renewal of a full driving licence/vehicle licence, transfer of vehicle ownership, application for an international driving permit, retention, transfer or assignment of vehicle registration mark, at any timeslot before lowering of the No.8 gale or storm signal or within two hours after the lowering of the signal may proceed to the Licensing Offices to submit their applications during opening hours (from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday) on or before October 20 without the need to make another appointment.
