Police arrested a 49-year-old man on October 8, who is in suspected connection with an attempted murder case in Yau Ma Tei on September 8 in which a 45-year-old man was injured.

     At 0.20am on September 8, Police received a report that a 45-year-old man in his private car was gunshot at the junction of Austin Road and Canton Road by a motorcyclist. Sustaining chest injury, the 45-year-old man continued to drive his private car and proceeded to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for medical treatment.

     A 49-year-old man was arrested in Wong Tai Sin in the afternoon on October 8 for conspiracy to murder. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries and is required to report back to Police in early-November.

     Active investigation by Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West is underway.
