General out-patient clinic services for National Day and Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival holidays

The Hospital Authority (HA) spokesperson today (September 29) said that 13 general out-patient clinics (see table below) will provide services during National Day (October 1) and the day following the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival (October 2). Members of the public are reminded to make advance bookings for appointments either through the Telephone Appointment System or the "Book GOPC" function in the "HA Go" mobile application.
The spokesperson remarked that the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Departments in public hospitals will also operate as usual during the holiday to serve patients with urgent medical needs. As the Emergency Response Level has been activated in public hospitals in response to the latest situation of COVID-19, infection control measures have been enhanced with universal mask wearing for all persons entering public hospitals and clinics. Non-urgent patients are advised to consider seeking consultations at general out-patient clinics, private doctors or the 24-hour clinics of private hospitals.
Given the unsteady COVID-19 epidemic situation locally, the spokesperson urged the public to continue to stay vigilant when celebrating the holidays. They should maintain personal and environment hygiene, and comply with the epidemic prevention measures such as wearing masks and maintaining social distance to prevent infection and spreading the virus in the community.
