LCSD launches free online programme "Talks on Cantonese Opera Libretti and Scripts - From Texts to Performance"

The series of talks conducted by Cantonese opera virtuoso Sun Kim-long aims at enhancing the audience's understanding of the libretti of Cantonese opera. Renowned stars of Cantonese opera have been invited to discuss their experiences in performing and interpreting the libretti of various productions by different playwrights.
The first instalment, featuring speaker Wong Chiu-kwan, is available for viewing online today.
Other four online talks featuring speakers Leung Siu-ming, Chan Wing-yee, Ng Chin-fung and Liu Kwok-sum will be released in October. Please follow the announcements on the website www.lcsd.gov.hk/cp and the Facebook page of the Cultural Presentations Section of the LCSD.
The talks are conducted in Cantonese, with the running time of each session being approximately one hour.
