Che Kung Temple Sports Centre to open on September 17 (with photos)

     ​Che Kung Temple Sports Centre, managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), will open for public use on September 17 (Thursday). It is the seventh indoor sports centre in Sha Tin District, and provides a wide range of leisure and sports facilities.
     
     The new sports centre is located at 10 Sha Tin Tau Road and has a total area of about 6 200 square metres. Facilities include a multi-purpose arena, which can serve as two basketball courts or two volleyball courts or eight badminton courts; a dance room; an activity room; a table tennis room; a fitness room; and a children's play room.
     
     Che Kung Temple Sports Centre is easily accessible from the nearby MTR Che Kung Temple Station and Chun Shek Bus Terminus. It will be open from 7am to 11pm daily, except on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, when it will be closed from 7am to 1pm for regular maintenance.
     
     Members of the public can reserve the fee-charging facilities of Che Kung Temple Sports Centre from September 16 (Wednesday) via the Internet Booking Service of Leisure Link. For enquiries, please call the venue staff at 2790 0221, or visit the LCSD website (www.lcsd.gov.hk/en/index.html).
