A spokesperson for the Social Welfare Department (SWD) today (September 11) announced that all SWD services and opening hours of SWD offices will resume as normal with effect from September 15, with group activities and use of play corners and resource corners to be arranged on an appointment basis only. Group activities at any one time are also subject to the prohibition on group gatherings in force at the time under the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation (Cap. 599G).

     All visitors to SWD offices must put on masks, have their body temperature checked and maintain social distancing.

     Meanwhile, the SWD has strengthened infection control at all service units. Staff will be reminded to follow necessary infection control measures.
