Attempted murder in Yau Ma Tei

At 0.20am, Police received a report that a 45-year-old man in his private car was gunshot at the junction of Austin Road and Canton Road by a motorcyclist. The motorcyclist fled along Canton Road to Jordan Road.
Sustaining chest injury, the 45-year-old man continued to drive his private car towards Jordan and rammed into three taxis at the junction of Jordan Road and Parkes Street. The 45-year-old man then proceeded to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for medical treatment.
Police sped to the scene and seized a piece of bullet shell in suspected connection with the case at the junction of Austin Road and Canton Road. The case is now classified as attempted murder.
Active investigation by Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West is underway.
