Protestors blocked Mongkok Sai Yeung Choi Street South with barricades
**********************************************************************
At around 4pm today (September 6), some protestors spilled onto Sai Yeung Choi Street South and built barricades with cardboards and trash to block the carriageways, disrupting public order and posing threat to the safety of road users.

Police warned the protestors to cease all illegal acts, including throwing trash which severely affected the hygiene of the area. At the critical juncture of fighting against the pandemic, it is the collective responsibility of every member of the public to maintain the hygiene of the community, so as to lower the risk of spreading virus.

Police appeal to all drivers heading to the area concerned not to force through any obstruction encountered en route, for this may pose danger to themselves and others. Drivers affected should report to Police immediately.
