Murder and conspiracy to wound case in Tuen Mun

     Police are investigating a murder and conspiracy to wound case in Tuen Mun in the small hours today (July 19) in which a 21-year-old man died.

     At about 2.30am, Police received a report that three men, aged between 23 and 25, were attacked by some people with extendable batons at the junction of Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road and Tsing Yin Street. Two men, including the 21-year-old man, witnessed the attack and went to the scene from a nearby shop. The assailants then got on private cars and left. One of the private cars reportedly hit the 21-year-old man and dragged him to Tuen Mun Road.
      
     The 21-year-old man was later located on Tuen Mun Road near San Tak Street. Sustaining multiple injuries, he was certified dead at scene.
      
     Officers later located a private car in suspected connection with the case in Sha Kong Wai, Tin Shui Wai. Four men and one woman on the private car, aged between 19 and 25, were arrested. They are being detained for further enquiries.

     Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.

     The case is classified as murder and conspiracy to wound. Investigation by the Regional Crime Unit of New Territories North is underway.
