The outsourced contractor's worker last came to work on July 17. She felt unwell earlier and sought medical treatment, and was notified today that she was tested positive for COVID-19. She has been admitted to hospital for treatment under isolation. She is now in stable condition.

The outsourced contractor's worker wore surgical mask at work. She underwent temperature screening at work and her body temperature was normal.

The WSD has immediately arranged thorough cleaning and sterilisation for Pak Kong Water Treatment Works. The department will maintain close liaison with the Centre for Health Protection. Staff have been reminded to pay attention to personal hygiene and to stay vigilant. They should seek medical advice immediately if feeling unwell.
