In light of the special work arrangement for government employees announced by the Government today (July 19), the Labour Department (LD) announced that the LD will only provide emergency services and essential public services from tomorrow (July 20) to July 25.

     The Employment Agencies Administration will provide counter services during office hours (from 9am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6:15pm) tomorrow (July 20) and on Tuesday (July 21) to receive applications under the Employment Agencies Subsidy Scheme of the Anti-Epidemic Fund. Other counter services of the department will be suspended.

     Two Occupational Health Clinics and Occupational Medicine Units under the department will be closed. Those who have made service appointments will be individually informed of the alternative arrangements.    

     The LD will review the situation in due course and make further announcements as appropriate.
