**************************************************************************
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) today (July 19) said that two outsourced cleansing service contractor workers have tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The two outsourced cleansing worker concerned worked at the children playground, skatepark and amphitheatre of Po Kong Village Road Park in Wong Tai Sin District, and Shek Pai Street Park and Shek Lei Adventure Playground in Kwai Tsing District. They last performed duties on July 17. They felt unwell earlier and sought medical treatment, and were notified at night of July 17 that they had preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19. They were admitted to hospital and have been treated under isolation. They are now in stable condition.

The cleansing workers concerned have no recent travel history. They wore surgical masks when performing duties, and their body temperatures were normal when undergoing temperature screening during work.

The LCSD will arrange thorough cleaning and sterilisation at areas of the Po Kong Village Road Park, Shek Pai Street Park and Shek Lai Adventure Playground as well as its facilities. All ball courts, practice areas, cycling track, skatepark, fitness corners and children’s playgrounds have been temporarily closed earlier.

The LCSD is highly concerned about the COVID-19 epidemic and will continue to maintain close liaison with the Centre for Health Protection. Staff are reminded to pay attention to personal hygiene and to stay vigilant. They should seek medical advice immediately if feeling unwell.
