LegCo Members visit proposed site for vehicular bridge near Kwong Fuk Bridge in Tai Po (with photos)

The following is issued on behalf of the Legislative Council Secretariat:

     The Legislative Council (LegCo) Members conducted a site visit to Tai Po today (July 12) to follow up on a complaint case relating to a request for expediting the provision of an additional vehicular bridge across Lam Tsuen River near the Kwong Fuk Bridge (Kwong Fuk Vehicular Bridge).

     Accompanied by representatives of the Highways Department and the Transport Department, LegCo Members and members of the Tai Po District Council observed the proposed site for the Kwong Fuk Vehicular Bridge at Pak Shing Street near the existing Kwong Fuk Bridge. LegCo Members expressed concerns on the impact of the project on nearby residents.

     Members who participated in the visit were Mr Lam Cheuk-ting (Convenor), Mr Chan Chi-chuen, Dr Lo Wai-kwok and Mr Alvin Yeung.
