Rioters block roads and set fires in Causeway Bay

Please broadcast the following message as soon as possible and repeat it at suitable intervals:
     
     At around 6.30pm today (July 1), rioters built barricades with buckets, traffic cones, miscellaneous objects and a trolley filled with cardboards to block the carriageways in Leighton Road, Causeway Bay, paralysing the traffic. Some rioters even set fires on the cardboards on the trolley, posing a serious threat to public safety. Police officers attended the scene swiftly and cleared the obstacles, allowing road users to reuse the carriageways. Currently, there are still road blockages in areas around Causeway Bay and Wan Chai, causing traffic obstruction.

     Police are trying to restore road safety and order. Police warn the rioters to stop blocking roads, which has affected the daily life of general public. Police will take resolute enforcement actions and arrest operation.
