Protestors blocked roads and set fire in Causeway Bay and Wan Chai

At around 3pm today (July 1), some protestors suddenly blocked roads in the vicinity of Causeway Road in Causeway Bay and moved miscellaneous objects such as trash and cardboards to the carriageways, causing obstruction to the vehicles which were forced to stop. There were also crowds who blocked roads and occupied multiple lanes on Hennessy Road in Wan Chai. They dismantled banners on the roadside and threw them to the carriageway. Some rioters even blocked the road with railings and rubbish bins and set fire to the barricades, seriously endangering public safety.
Police warn the crowds to stop all illegal acts immediately. Police will take resolute enforcement action including making arrests.
