Please broadcast the following message as soon as possible and repeat it at suitable intervals:

Since noon today (July 1), crowds have been gathering and chanting slogans in the vicinity of Paterson Street, East Point Road and Great George Street in Causeway Bay, breaching public peace. Some people even dashed across the roads, causing disruption to road traffic. Police have adopted a measured and restrained approach throughout, repeatedly reminding the crowds that their actions have already violated the Public Order Ordinance and the National Security Law. Police have also warned them to stop gathering and leave immediately. However, some refused to obey Police instructions. In response, Police took law enforcement action and arrested more than 30 persons for suspected unlawful assembly, violating the National Security Law, obstructing police officers in due execution of their duties and possession of offensive weapon, etc.

Police warn the crowds to stop their illegal acts immediately. Police officers will remain on heightened alert and continue to take resolute law enforcement action against any illegal act.
