Police deploy specialised crowd management vehicle
**************************************************
Attention duty announcers, radio and TV stations:

Please broadcast the following message as soon as possible and repeat it at suitable intervals:

Since noon today (July 1), crowds have been gathering and chanting slogans in the vicinity of Paterson Street, East Point Road and Great George Street in Causeway Bay, breaching public peace. Police have adopted a measured and restrained approach throughout, repeatedly reminding the crowds that their actions have already violated the Public Order Ordinance and the National Security Law. Police have also requested them to stop gathering and leave immediately. However, the crowds refused to obey Police instructions and even dashed across the roads, causing disruption to road traffic. Police have deployed a specialised crowd management vehicle to assist officers in carrying out dispersal and law enforcement action in the areas concerned.

Police warn lawbreakers to stop their disruptive acts that destroy public peace and safety. Police will continue to take resolute law enforcement action and have zero tolerance to unlawful acts.
