Approved Tung Chung Town Centre Area Outline Zoning Plan amended
The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of a site currently occupied by the Tung Chung Traction Substation and its adjoining government land from "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Traction Substation cum Portal" ("OU(Traction Substation cum Portal)"), "Government, Institution or Community" ("G/IC") and areas shown as "Road" to "Residential (Group A)8" for proposed residential development and rezoning of a strip of land along Man Tung Road from "OU(Traction Substation cum Portal)" to an area shown as "Road" to reflect the existing roadside amenity area. Opportunity is also taken to amend the Notes and Explanatory Statement of the OZP to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information of various land use zonings and the planning area, where appropriate.
The draft Tung Chung Town Centre Area OZP No. S/I-TCTC/23, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at (i) the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, (ii) the Planning Enquiry Counters, (iii) the Sai Kung and Islands District Planning Office, (iv) the Islands District Office, (v) the Islands Home Affairs Enquiry Centre (Tung Chung), and (vi) the Tung Chung Rural Committee.
