Police take enforcement actions as protestors breach public peace at malls in various districts

Protestors have been gathering at multiples malls in various locations this afternoon (May 10). Some of them held banners, chanted slogans and breached public peace. Police officers received reports from members of the public, then entered the malls to take enforcement actions.
The Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation (Cap. 599G) stipulates that group gatherings with more than eight persons in public places is prohibited. Any person who participates in a prohibited group gathering or organises a prohibited group gathering commits an offence.
Police appeal to all protestors to stop group gathering or committing acts that breach public peace, and leave immediately. Police will take enforcement actions resolutely.
