Fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po

At about 8.47am, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 55-year-old man was travelling westbound along Boundary Street. When approaching Hai Tan Street, it reportedly knocked down the 54-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head and hand injuries, the 54-year-old man was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 9.57am.
The LGV driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
