Rioters hurl petrol bombs in various districts

     Rioters hurled petrol bombs in Tuen Mun, Tsuen Wan and Mong Kok respectively. In the small hours today (January 1), rioters hurled petrol bombs on Nathan Road in Mong Kok and some occupied the roads in the vicinity of Nathan Road and Shantung Street. Police have deployed tear gas to disperse protestors.
      
     At around 9pm yesterday (December 31), some masked rioters hurled five to six petrol bombs at a police vehicle near Yau Oi LRT Station at Yau Oi Estate, Tuen Mun. At around 10.30pm yesterday, rioters hurled petrol bombs at a carpark next to Tsuen Wan Police Station, causing fire to three private cars.
      
     Arson does not only prejudice public safety, but is also a serious crime. The maximum penalty is life imprisonment. Police reiterate that Police have zero tolerance against all illegal acts and will enforce the law strictly.
