******************************************************************************************
Art by Architecture - Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture Hong Kong 2019 opened at High Speed Rail Futian Station in Shenzhen today (December 21). The exhibition uses different art forms to re-interpret the unique stories of Hong Kong's daily life and shows the distinctive charms of Hong Kong to visitors from Hong Kong and Shenzhen.

The theme of the Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture Hong Kong 2019 is "2x2: Imagine to Innovate". It aims to break away from traditional thinking and explore ways to build an ideal city by developing and improving both the city and society through three elements: imagination, creativity and technology.

The exhibition at Futian Station will run until March 8, 2020. Under the theme "Art by Architecture", the Hong Kong part of the exhibition includes works by artists working solo or in groups. Through different perspectives and viewpoints, the artists have used their works to reflect the daily life, culture and social network of Hong Kong. The participating Hong Kong artists are Allan Au and Wyan Yeung, Dylan Kwok, and Wai Tang and Keith Lam.

Art by Architecture - Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture Hong Kong 2019 is hosted by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Biennale Foundation, with partners including the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, the Hong Kong Institute of Planners and the Hong Kong Designers Association, in collaboration with the Shenzhen Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture Organising Committee and with the Art Promotion Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department as the strategic partner.

The Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture Hong Kong is held in Shenzhen and Hong Kong simultaneously every two years with a theme of architecture and urbanism. It aims to create a platform to exchange ideas on place making between the public and artists, architects and designers.
