Protestors blocking roads in the vicinity of Central

Since noon today (November 12), a large number of protestors have continuously occupied the vicinity of Des Voeux Road Central, Connaught Road Central and Pedder Street in Central. They have also blocked multiple roads with bricks and large objects. Since the situation persists, traffic nearby is seriously obstructed.
Police expect busy traffic at peak hours in the evening and warn protestors to stop all illegal acts and leave immediately. In face of the situation, police officers will embark on a dispersal operation, and if necessary, using appropriate force including tear gas.
Police appeal to all bystanders to leave immediately and remind citizens in the vicinity to stay tuned to the latest situation. They are advised to keep windows closed and stay indoors, if necessary.
