Attempted murder in Ma On Shan

     Police are investigating an attempted murder case in Ma On Shan yesterday (November 11) afternoon in which a 57-year-old man was seriously injured.

     At about 12.55pm, Police received a report from a passer-by that the 57-year-old man argued with others on a footbridge on On Chun Street. The man was poured with suspected inflammable liquid and set into fire by a culprit. The culprit then fled away.

     Police officers sped to the scene. The man was found sustaining multiple burn injuries. He was admitted to Prince of Wales Hospital in critical condition.

     Active investigations by the Commercial Crime Bureau are underway.
