Response to media enquiries by HKSAR Government

In response to media enquiries, a government spokesman today (November 8) expressed great sorrow and regret over the death of a student from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and extended sympathies to his family.

In the early hours of November 4, he fell down in a car park in Tseung Kwan O. He subsequently passed away after undergoing surgery and treatment in a hospital.

The Police has stated earlier that they attach great importance to the incident and the crime unit is now conducting a comprehensive investigation with a view to finding out what happened.
