Fatal traffic accident in Pat Heung

At about 4am, a private car driven by a 25-year-old man was travelling along Tsing Long Highway towards Yuen Long. After passing Tai Lam Tunnel Toll Plaza, the private car reportedly rammed into the rear part of a maintenance truck which had stopped on the second lane and the 32-year-old man who had alighted from the truck.
The 32-year-old man was certified dead at scene.
The private car driver was arrested for drink driving and dangerous driving causing death. He is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
