Wounding case in Castle Peak reclassified as attempted murder

     Police today (November 7) reclassified a wounding case in Castle Peak yesterday (November 6) as attempted murder.

     About 8.44am that day, Police received a report that a man was attacked by another man with a knife on Wu Chui Road. Police officers sped to the scene and found a 57-year-old man who sustained chest injury. The man was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital for medical treatment in conscious state.

     Police arrested a 30-year-old man at scene that day. He was holding charged with one count of attempted murder. The case will be mentioned at Fanling Magistrates’ Courts tomorrow afternoon (November 8).

     Active investigation by the Regional Crime Unit of New Territories North is underway.
