Labour Department to hold occupational health public talks

     The Labour Department (LD) will hold a public talk entitled "Occupational health for workers in pre-primary education services" on November 7 (Thursday) at 3pm. To enhance workers' awareness of occupational health (OH), the talk will elaborate on OH hazards and their preventive measures for workers in pre-primary services. Demonstration and practice of workplace exercise will also be included.

     The LD will hold another talk entitled "Infection control in the workplace" on November 14 (Thursday) at 3pm for employees who may contact micro-organisms such as bacteria and viruses that cause illnesses in their workplaces. The talk will explain how micro-organisms may enter the human body and their effects on health. The concept of infection control in workplaces will also be discussed.

     Both talks will be given by the LD's occupational health nurse in Cantonese at the Lecture Hall of the Hong Kong Space Museum, 10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. Admission is free. For enquiries or registration, please call 2852 4040.
