Rioters hurl petrol bomb to restaurant near Tai Hing Operational Base in Tuen Mun

At around 10pm today (October 28), rioters left the Tai Hing Operational Base in Tuen Mun and inflicted extensive damages to a housing estate nearby. Some rioters broke the glass window of a restaurant with bricks and then threw a petrol bomb into the restaurant, causing dense smoke at scene. In addition, rioters set up barricades and set them on fire in the housing estate. Their behaviour seriously threatened the safety of everyone at scene and the residents nearby.
In response to the deteriorating situation, Police have deployed tear gas for dispersal. Police condemn all violent acts and warn the rioters to stop the illegal acts immediately.
