Masked rioters vandalise MTR stations and set fires on roads
************************************************************

Attention duty announcers, radio and TV stations:

Please broadcast the following message as soon as possible and repeat it at suitable intervals:

Since 7pm, a large group of masked rioters have built barricades to blocked main roads in Kowloon, including Nathan Road, Argyle Street, Cheung Sha Wan Road and Lai Chi Kok Road. One street lamp post has been severed and some roadside trash has been set ablaze, leaving traffic paralysed. Also, a large group of masked rioters have inflicted extensive damage to many shops and coffee shops in Yau Ma Tei, Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok. They even broke into these shops to wreak damage and start fires. Some wrecked the hoardings that had been built to protect banks. At around 9pm, masked rioters intercepted a male in Mong Kok to inspect his mobile phone and beat him up.

Masked rioters’ blatant defiance of the law is not to be condoned. Police will not tolerate acts of violence and are now conducting dispersal and arrest operations.
