Masked rioters set fire to MTR station and hurled petrol bombs at police officers on Nathan Road in Mong Kok

     Masked rioters continued to inflict damages and start fires in Tsim Sha Tsui, Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok tonight (October 27). During Police’s dispersal operations, some rioters hurled petrol bombs at Police officers. At around 7pm, a group of masked rioters vandalised and set fire to Mong Kok MTR exits. They also built barricades with objects including bamboo sticks and wooden boards in the vicinity of Mong Kok and Yau Ma Tei, gridlocking roads and paralysing traffic. Also, some masked rioters assaulted a man, who then fell onto the ground with his head bleeding.
      
     Police warn all rioters to stop all illegal acts immediately and are deploying minimum necessary force to effect dispersal and arrest. Bystanders are advised to leave immediately. Drivers are advised to avoid travelling to the area.
