Murder in Yuen Long

At about 3.36pm, Police received a report from a 64-year-old man that he had attacked a 54-year-old male with knife on the mezzanine floor of a building on Yuen Long Tung Tai Street. Police officers sped to the scene and found the 54-year-old man lying unconsciously on the floor. Sustaining injuries to his head and hands, he was rushed to Pok Oi Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 4.53pm.
Initial investigations revealed that the 64-year-old man attacked the deceased with a knife. A knife, in suspected connection with the case, was seized at scene.
The 64-year-old man has been arrested for murder and is being detained for further enquiries.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.
Investigation by the District Crime Squad of Yuen Long District is underway.
