Labour Department to hold occupational health public talks

     The Labour Department (LD) will hold a public talk entitled "Occupational health (OH) for professional drivers" on October 24 (Thursday). The talk is designed for professional drivers to enhance their awareness of OH with an introduction on OH hazards and their preventive measures, common health issues, and health tips. A demonstration and practice of workplace exercise will also be included.
      
     The talk will be given by the LD's occupational health nurse at 3pm in the Health Education Room of the LD's Occupational Safety and Health Centre, which is located at G/F, Kwun Tong Community Health Centre Building, 60 Hip Wo Street, Kwun Tong.
      
     The LD will hold another talk entitled "Chemicals and occupational health" on October 28 (Monday). The talk will explain how chemicals enter the human body and their effects on health, as well as preventive measures of such chemical hazards.
      
     The talk will be given by the LD's occupational health nurse at 3pm in the Lecture Hall of the Hong Kong Space Museum, 10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui.
      
     Both talks will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free. For enquiries or registration, please call 2852 4040.
