Building rehab energises society

     Two old buildings in Hung Hom and Prince Edward have been given a new lease of life with the help of various subsidy schemes launched by the Government and Urban Renewal Authority, including Operation Building Bright 2.0.

     The building rehabilitation schemes not only keep the public safe by improving living conditions in older buildings, but also provide property owner-occupiers with financial help to contribute to the improvement works.

     News.gov.hk spoke to elderly stakeholders and officials from the Development Bureau and Electrical & Mechanical Services Department to learn more about these society-boosting strategies.
