Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected ketamine (with photo)

Customs officers intercepted two men in Tsing Yi yesterday evening and found a small quantity of suspected ketamine in their possession. About 500 grams of suspected ketamine were also found inside a paper bag carried by one of them. The two men, aged 37 and 45, were then arrested.
After follow-up investigation, Customs officers further seized about 1.75kg of suspected ketamine and a batch of drug packaging paraphernalia in a hotel room nearby.
Investigation is ongoing.
Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment.
