Since yesterday night (October 2), violent protesters have conducted illegal acts such as blocking roads, vandalising shops and MTR facilities, attacking police stations, arson and hurling petrol bombs in various districts throughout the territory. Their acts seriously undermined public order and posed a threat to the personal safety of police officers and members of the public. A Government spokesman today (October 3) strongly condemns these acts. The Police will continue to take resolute enforcement action with a view to restoring public order.
