The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced today (October 1) that due to special circumstances that will possibly happen nearby, Maple Street Playground in Sham Shui Po District; Sha Tin Town Hall and Sha Tin Public Library in Sha Tin District; and Tuen Mun Town Hall and Tuen Mun Public Library in Tuen Mun District have been closed.

     Moreover, all leisure facilities (apart from the Hong Kong Tennis Centre), the Hong Kong Central Library, Lockhart Road Public Library and Wong Nai Chung Public Library in Wan Chai District will be closed early at noon.

     Subject to the situation, more cultural and leisure facilities in the same district and any other districts which may be affected will also be closed early and at short notice to ensure the safety of venue users. Members of the public who plan to go to those venues are advised to contact the venues concerned or 1823 in advance.
