Fatal traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok
     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok last night (September 12) in which a 38-year-old man died.

     At about 6.50pm, a coach driven by a 52-year-old man was leaving a shuttle bus station on Wai Yip Street, it reportedly lost control, rammed into a 38-year-old male pedestrian and two female pedestrians, aged 34 and 37 respectively, who were crossing the vehicular passage, and a stone pillar at the roadside.

     The 38-year-old male pedestrian was trapped between the stone pillar and the coach, and was rescued by firemen. Sustaining serious head and body injuries, he was rushed to United Christian Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 7.28pm. The two female pedestrians, the coach driver, and four female coach passengers, aged from 22 to 46, were also injured in the accident. They were sent to United Christian Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital for medical treatment.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East is underway.
