No. 3 alarm fire in Wan Chai (4)

    The No. 3 alarm fire broke out at an unit of a building at 234-236 Wan Chai Road in Wan Chai this morning (September 7) was brought under control at 9.47am and was largely put out at 10.25am.

     Firemen used one jet and mobilised four breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze. 106 persons were led to safety.

     A fireman and seven persons were injured and sent to hospital for treatment. One of the injured persons conveyed to Ruttonjee Hospital was certified dead at 10.54am.
