     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (August 1) that Big Wave Bay Beach and Shek O Beach in the Southern District, Hong Kong Island, are temporarily closed until further notice for maintenance of the shark prevention nets. The red flags have been hoisted at the beaches. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beaches. The red flags were hoisted earlier due to big waves.
