The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Lau Kong-wah, will depart for Guangzhou tomorrow afternoon (June 24) to attend the opening ceremony of the first Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Arts Festival.

     The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Arts Festival is jointly organised by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government (SARG), the Macao SARG and the Guangdong Provincial Government. The first arts festival will be hosted by Guangzhou. The opening ceremony will take place on June 24 at the Guangzhou Opera House with cities in the Greater Bay Area participating. Around 100 activities of various arts forms will be included in the festival in 2019, including programmes of Hong Kong arts groups.

     Mr Lau will return to Hong Kong in the morning on Tuesday (June 25).
