HK turns on smart lights

     The first 50 lampposts under the Multi-functional Smart Lampposts pilot scheme are being installed in selected road sections in Kwun Tong and the Kai Tak Development Area, and are expected to come into operation at the end of June.

     News.gov.hk spoke to a Senior Systems Manager at the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and a Highways Department Senior Engineer to discuss the technology behind the new smart lighting.
